earlier this year the kicks and i had the opportunity to/made the mistake of booking 5 shows in 4 days. and what did i do? that's right – i booked a sixth solo gig on top of all of the madness because that's how i roll. anyway i found a draft hidden in my email with things to consider the next time i think that a week long sing-stravaganza is a good idea (apparently i'm in to the bullet points these days):

1. never book a double header in two different cities an hour and half apart with only an hour scheduled between the shows themselves. 

2. try to refrain from yelling PG-13/R-ish things in the microphone at daytime family events (e.g. Avila Beach Farmers Market)

3. book more shows at the Mercury Lounge

4. Find a way to refrain from talking when not on stage (a la Celine Dion's made up sign language)

5. remember: Double Headers are the devil
